Bottled water is a recurring errand: cases to lift, a cabinet to give up, plastic to break down and put out every week. A pitcher filter is cheap and slow, and it is still tap water waiting its turn in the fridge. The S20 makes its own water from the room, filters it in three stages, treats it with UVC in the tank, and dispenses it cold at 50–57°F (10–14°C) at up to about 40 oz/min (1.2 L/min). It fills a glass faster than the pitcher pours one.
